‘Ik droomde ons’ (19min) tells the story of my mother and her only son. As I grew older and left home she struggled to find a new role. In an attempt to try to understand our changing relationship, I turned my camera on her.
“Since you have left,
I don’t live anymore.
Not with the same intensity I used to.
It’s the normal way of life.
I gave birth to you
Only to let you go one day”.
